Lib2Lib 0.10 beta-test 20071004r (copyright Renie S. Marquet Oct/2007) Warning: this is a beta test, still under development and may require many adjustments. This tool is being developed to facilitate the organization of Eeschema libraries of components. A major reason for starting this tool came from the large number of libraries converted from other software for the Kicad by other contributors to this great project, manipulate, edit library by library, component by component into the editor components would be almost impossible! CAUTION: Before you change an existing library, make a backup copy to avoid future problems (deleting a module by mistake, for example). Note: the view of the components is not exactly like when inside the Eesquema is to reference only, despite this, no copied component information is lost. The screen consists of three main areas: - Search: To view a library commonly used as a source, providing components for a new library. Offers some display options (Zoom's) and copy the component to the library issue. - Editing: Here is the actual work area, allows a library to be open modified to create new, edit the text commands that make up the components, delete components, receiving components of research library etc.. - Command sets (area between the two earlier): Commands of the two navigation libraries together, eg Next, change the presentation to the next component of both libraries, especially useful to compare libraries. In the editing area there are some special buttons besides the intuitive; - Convert button: interprets the commands that compose the selected component, producing the current image of it. To Do: - Identify problem converting some drawings of arches. - Implement the same mechanism Tokicad enabling the translation of the interface and messages to other languages. - Create a HELP / manual! - A few more things that arise :) ! And like all free software, the author is not liable for the use of it, is directly or indirectly, is offered "as is", the risks and responsibilities are delegated to users. All comments, suggestions, and bug information to a simple "hello" will be well received and answered by the author (if your mail is not answered with at least one "Thanks for the info," or did not arrive until the author or the author's response did not to you, Renie S. Marquet always responds to all e-mails as soon as possible).. Enjoy, and do not forget to help develop this software!). Renie S. Marquet
